well I am not mad about running over the already dead deer (def isnt like running over a 2x4 in the msf course) i was made at the ahole who had those illegal light bar lights on. I wanted to pull over and beat his arse but decided it wasnt worth it and just road home. I hope nothing is wrong BUT the engine just doesnt sound right anymore. I noticed the sound of the engine changed instantly after landing. Hopefully they wont find a crack or something or find that its going to cost 75% of the bikes KBB value. Otherwise ill have to take the money i would get from them totalling it and use it as a down payment on a new bike. I doubt they will find anything wrong but I would rather be safe than sorry.

well off the bat the guy noticed my saddle bags got ripped up and the handle bars are slightly bent. So looks like new saddle bags and possibly a new handle bar unless they can straighten it that little bit.

That bike will never be the same, likely unsafe now, the only reasonable course of action is to go and replace it with a Ducati.

It's good that you're okay. Saddlebags can be replaced with a better model, how about investing in some Givi hardbags? As for the handlebar straightening it out might weaken it, or so my mechanic says. I ride around with a bent handle bar on my Vulcan and it doesn't seem to feel any different (after two accidents the left side is bent slightly downward giving me the illusion of a not aligned front wheel). Anyway handlebars are not that expensive and maybe you could get yourself something more comfortable than the stock type.

JC Viper I am not rich and this bike is just a beginner bike so I would rather replace with OEM parts that includes the saddle bags. Insurance wont cover anything above a certain price point. For example OEM bars are $80 and some good bars are $140. Insurance will cover the first $80 but no more. I already have to pay a $100 deductable so I dont want to add another say $70 to it lol.

I'm in the same boat with cash. You should see the patchwork I did to my bike since I didn't feel like spending any money. A leather belt now holds the saddlebags up and the tank has a poor paint job (didn't feel like airbrushing) and the handle bars I felt didn't need to be replaced. If it's straight enough it's good enough.

Those rats of the forest are why I am VERY supportive of wolf reintroduction programs:D, in most areas those would be some fat and happy wolves hehe.

Most states are already pretty generous with the numbers of deer tags they issue each year and the buggers are still overpopulated.

well I almost nailed a coyote about 2 months ago on my way to work. aahh the dangers of riding when its dark.
