Wow, it actually snowed in Jersey... I thought that stuff stayed mainly in the norther NY state. I rode around in a night flurry but nothing serious. The wind was blowing pretty harsh but it didn't penetrate my gear unless I cracked open the visor (damn thing fogs up even with the Fog-X).

When I'm not on the bike I take out the windproof liner from my riding jacket and wear it under my other leather jacket and it retains my heat regardless.

At school today there are still a lot of riders out and about and more Smart Cars are rolling about as well. Miniaturization domination begins!

After seeing the Aerostitch catalogue I want to put install tire studs to get some traction in snow and maybe have some fun in the middle of the night when no one is around. If that BMW can ride in the snow no problem I'm sure my cruiser could do pretty well.

We took a nice little 22 mile run down to a farm stand in Tabernacle to buy pies. (mmmmmm.......pie!! ) 33 degrees out and winds gusting to 30mph - tolerable for a short run. We get down there and...... wouldn't ya know it...... nice older lady in the parking lot feels she's gotta tell me..... "IT'S TOO COLD FOR MOTORCYCLES!"

(Just to mess with her, I told I needed to get the bike rolling 'cause I was getting a little too warm in all my gear... )

Oh right, you were sight seeing that day,

I bought a balaclava and wear it when I ride on cold nights/ days. Now I don't feel any cold air what so ever and the glove liners work really well keeping my digits warm. Just gotta find something other than Fog-X to stop my face shield from fogging up.

Best product I have ever used as a biker, the "Pinlock" anti fog visor is truly incredible. I've ridden in sub-freezing temps and not had a problem with this visor set up. Check out if there is a pre-configured visor from your local bike shop, or you can get the inner visor and drill the required holes yourself. (I'd rather pay to get the factory set up myself)

It was about 46F again today.

I purchased a day permit and went for a couple of rides. It was such a fabulous day it worth every penny of the $27.00 I spent for the permit.

Part of the way to Tabernacle goes down Rt. 206. I'd end up a hood ornament on a big truck if I was only going 30mph....

You could always ram the truck with your bike and follow the driver home where he goes crying to who ever to protect them from the scary biker.

He probably hears it so much that it becomes a part of his vocabulary. Believe me, I know... every time I ride my bike to work everyone calls me "procreating" crazy, even though my name tag says "Mike".
