If you live in a very dry area that gets very little rain fall, absolutely... if you're in an area that gets a decent amount of rain fall, riding in the center is no big deal after 15 minutes or so of rain fall.SHADOW1100T wrote:Be SURE to stay out of the center of the lane especially at stop lights,,,really really slick from all the oil, sometimes the lane is well worn and cupped and the water will lay in it stay up by the white line if you can otherwise you could hydroplane an d crash.

I just added to the deep puddle thing that garbage could be underneath (like a wooden board with a nail in it).follow wrote:JC Viper wrote:follow wrote:Watch for the puddles, you never know how deep they are and the cagers love to hit them and splash you.....oops
I find that odd because my back tire tends to kick water on the cars I pass (unintentionally of course). Plus deep puddles can mean disaster for your bike should it be deep enough to engulf low lying exhaust pipes. Also there may be artifacts underneath said puddle that may be unpleasant to ride over.
Sorry when I said you never know how deep they are, I meant for the bike and what damage they can cause figure you all could read my mind. As for the cagers...still the same they can splash and blind you or cause you to slide or worse.
