There are no miles on the clock and the tires (Bridgestone BT-015 from the looks of it) still have the color stripes on them. Fresh from the manufacturer!

BTW, the suggested shift points in the owner's manual are just manufacturer boilerplate for fuel economy and low noise emissions. They are pretty much useless.

Of all the things that contributed to me buying the bike - me being a cheap bastrd and loving getting a deal definitely played a part.

It is - brand spanking new - @ $8499 purchase price. I didn't even complain about the assembly and destination charge which brought the price up to $9300 + tax + tag. My ending cost ended up at $10,262 + $200 delivery.

Based on the price before all the crap - $4400 off the MSRP.

The funny thing is, everyone I show the bike or pictures of the bike - think it is a good looking bike. So, the perception that it is ugly and of course MPG (which it really doesn't get good mpg) and the timing of its release contributed to it not selling in the US. Which in turn meant this dealer was so motivated to see it that they posted online the price of $8499.

I just wish it was the ABS model, but for the price and the fact that my current bike doesn't have ABS.... I got it.

It is sooo huge. Can't wait until tomorrow and warmer weather (40+ degrees) - so I can take it for a spin!

Thanks! - Maybe someday when I know what I'm doing on this new bike we can take our nakeds out together. Oh, and perhaps when it is normally warmer than say 50 degrees out as well.

Thanks - and I'm glad there are at least a few people that don't seem to think it is uggers.

It seems that among non-motorcyclists - there is less of a tendency to call the bike ugly. Not sure why. Then again, there is a bit of tunnel vision with people who don't own bikes. To my wife (with the exception of the B-King) they all look like general order of bike. Some have plastic and some don't.

I'm might remotely follow them in the beginning - I'd like to get reasonable mileage as it take premium fuel!

You know, the tail (from behind) just screams "I'm Batman" - Let's just hope I don't ride like Robin in one of the movies.

I saw like 3 minutes of a batman movie and Robin on this motorcycle that looks improbable enough and 10 second in he's lowsiding it over ice... What a dork!
