That's a nice looking bike. Looks like a cross between sport and standard. 401lbs, 4 1/2 gallon tank, air cooled, shaft drive!... OMG I think you just showed me my next bike. And it comes in black! ohhhhhh me wants it...

Wow That moto-guzzi is really nice. Well I read today that the beamer is going to be discontinued so that's out and was looking at the Suzuki SV 650 (or even the SV 1000). But this moto-guzzi kinda jumps into the running. Very nice. Have to check out some accessories and aftermarket stuff to see what's available. thanks alot. I love options and the moto-guzzi gives me more to think about.

Out of curiousity, what are the guzzi's like reliability wise, for touring?

I've been asking on other forums and one guy says he has 150,000 miles on his. Sounds reliable enough for me. I'm going to look at them next weekend.

The guzzi's are like BMW's. They have their glitches (mid-late 90's models especially) but are pretty much bullet proof. Newer models have self-adjusting valve lifters, fuel injection, etc so they should be even better now than before.
There are Hundreds of them here in naples w/ clocks that have rolled over numerous times. I think that any bike if it's well taken care of will go on for a long time, but Guzzis and Boxer BMW's seem to have the long-term thing down in spades. Maybe that's just because their owners are a bit more into the long-haul mentality? Who knows.

Went to a bunch of dealers this weekend. Guzzi dealer is going to be to far away for practical service. My girlfriend wants me to get a V Star 650 silverado, which is about 50lbs heavier then I want to go, but she was real happy sitting on the back of it and very comfortable. I fell in love with the Suzuki S50, which she wasn't to happy with. I may get both, but to do that I'll have to finance one of them and i hate financing vehicles (haven't done that since 85). To keep the peace however it may be prudent to do so. That S50 fit me perfect though. Nice and light and very trim. The 4" rizers with drag bars and pipes on both sides was really great looking. I was looking at the gray metalic one. Man what a nice looking bike!
