Being a lover of odd looking bikes.... I like this a lot.

Yup me too. If I had a choice between this and any of the japanese I-4 sport bikes I would pick this in a heart beat. Just for it's looks.

I guess this bike, along with the HP2 and the Megamoto are signs that BMW is basically silently admitting that the telescopic forks are superior to their telelevers and other deirvatives contrary to what they have been stating all these years.

BMW does not make mistakes. They do, however, occasionally equip their bikes with technology and concepts that are too far ahead of their time to be appreciated by the average mortal rider.

Actually the Telelever is superior to the telescopic fork, but it's heavier than conventional forks, so there's no place for it on a true race bike.

One thing about the telelever is that you don't have that heavy dive under hard braking. Plus I kinda like the way it looks on my R1150R........it's cool looking....like in a giant insect kinda way.
