I did not say that. Had you taken the time to read it properly, you would understand this.

Your flashing brake light trick, btw, is exactly what I mean about maintaining a 360 degree scan of the traffic situation and using your mirrors to save your arse.

I prefer the look of amber lenses. Clear ones seem . . . a bit ricey. And in my experience, amber bulbs are slightly more expensive than white ones anyway, so it's white bulbs and amber lenses for me.

Sorry MZ33, nothing against Japanese bikes, I love em myself (and wish I was tall enough for a Versys). I guess my crotchety old fogey attitude is getting obvious, coz I think signal lights should look yellow whether they're lit or not. And this is pretty hypocritical, coming from a guy whose bike DOES have white indicator lenses.

Since I deal alot with people who customize motorcycles, I've seen all different types of lights and actually there are some white bulbs that are so bright I think they would actually blind some people temporarily if too close!

I agree with HYPERR above in that a clear lense with an amber bulb is a good combination with most bikes. You get a pretty clean look plus the safety of the amber bulb :)

In the end, it all comes down to personal preference...

Hope this helps! Did you decide already? As this post has been going on for a while and you haven't posted on your decision.

I plan to order some clear lenses and get amber bulbs. I have been looking around at other bikes and I think that the clear lenses would suit my blue bike very nicely.
