I bought a pair of Alpinestars (can't remember the model). This was before I had ever ridden a bike, so I was thinking of the boots more as a safety device rather then a control surface. Thus the boots I got were the thickest and stiffest ones I tried on. I soon realized that this was probably not a good idea, because when I started the MSF class and sat down on my rebel I could hardly bend my foot down far enought to get it under the shift lever. Plus I couldn't feel a thing. I would basicly just press my right foot down, and if the bike slowed down then I figured I must be hitting the break lever.

So after the first day I exchanged them for a pair of SIDI Strada Tepor Evo, which were a HUGE improvement, but about $70 more then I paid for the Alpinestars. It's just money right?
