I lived in Hawaii, and there are alot of people who dont take motrcycling safety seriously at all....I think heat rash is much easier to get over than road rash. I had my Honda 400 shipped over and rode everywhere. You should know that Hawaii is not always hot and sticky, it depends on where you go and what time of year you go. The mesh is a great idea, I would recommend full boots and armored gloves...Good luck and happy riding.

Possibly a pair of boots. My dilema is that I'll have to carry them around since I can't live in shoes on the rock...
All my family is from Oahu and Maui and I'm pretty familiar with the weather and temps... its just that most of my driving is going to be in the city and traffic there is really bad.
