I was not aware of that, so thanks for the input. CAN"T FIGURE THIS OUT!!! Didn't get to the shops before the closed today, so I'll have all weekend to ponder this. Keep the it coming from both sides though. I feel like the devil's advocate here, but I just want to have no second guessing when I nail this down.

For what its worth I live in michigan so it might not work in your state but get on www.traderonline.com and look up the bike you want in the area you live in. Find the cheapest OTD price you can and then take it to your local dealer, its a buyers market right now and youll have all the leverage youll need to make your best deal. Worked for me!

I can't speak for the Vulcan. I bought a C50T, and really do like it. I have found no fault with it at all, except it took a little getting used to the super quick throttle response, and the heel shifting, now that have some miles on it, I love this bike.

My Dad has the C50, and loves it to death. I can't speak for the Kawasaki 800, but if you're worried about the Suzuki's fuel injection...don't. It was lifted right off their sportbikes and only slightly modified for the needs of the motor. It's truly a "thumb-and-go" bike requiring no more maintenance than a car. Just change the oil and keep 'er full of gas. The AFIS (Automatic Fast Idle System) even makes cold starts a no-brainer. That's something even my fuel-injected Mean Streak lacks (I still have to choke the motor before startup).

The C50 will also be easier to winterize, and you won't have chain maintenance to worry about. And it's only marginally smaller physically than the C90.

Can't speak for the Suzuki but I love my 96 Vulcan 800 Classic. I've had it for 4 months and have put over 3,000 miles on it. I went from an 85 Suzuki GS450 to the Vulcan.
