It's a small after market number plate hanger to replace the big plastic standard one.

My 04 R1 and I are still together, four years in June, and about 18 months ago I did some mods, but nothing drastic because I love the stock look of the bike.
- Proton flushmounts
- Yamaha carbon rear hugger
- Power Commander (PCIII)
- De-cat Y-pipe
- Custom baffles
- Pazzo short levers

Nice, very rare to find someone who keeps a sportbike for that long!

Thank you.
I haven't really seen anything that has made me want to part with the looks of the 2004 R1 yet. I was hoping the 2009 R1 might do it, but despite the great tech spec I think it's a bit ugly. I do like the K5 and K6 GSX-R1000 though, and was impressed when I rode one a couple of years ago. If I had to choose a recent bike I would say my favourite looking 1000 is the 2008/2009 Honda Fireblade.

It is so cool when you get a bike you really like and it fits you so well. I try those bikes with clip on's , they hurt my wrist but so many riders like them. It's all in they way that the bike makes you feel.
