That's because drunk Irish men in cars are a little scary.

Somebody modified the stock taillight for turn signals.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I can vaguely understand why someone doesn't want to be more hi viz because it looks dorky, involves spending, is a hassle, whatever.

I find it bizarre how people will spend time, money, and energy to change their indicators so they're less visible.

My pal bought a used bike that has these and they suck "O Ring". He's hunting around now to see if anyone is selling the stock ones so he can change them out. I don't get the appeal at all.

this was still a proper right turn signal.

Sticking your leg out will only make drivers think you are stretching out your leg.

As for cyclists and other motorcyclists, won't they think you're pointing out gravel, glass, oil, or some other threat?

Only if they have been educated about it.

Or a six ft. tall Santa doll. Saw that a few weeks ago on a ride. One of the riders nailed him and it got stock to his highway bars.
