I'm glad it worked out for you, man. When you look at those freakish videos of people first trying bikes too big for them - it is mostly dumping the clutch with too much throttle that makes the bike take off - and not knowing to clamp down on the clutch if the bike takes off on you.

I kinda wish they leased bikes. With a car it doesn't matter to me, I'll keep it for 10 years. But I'm finding that bikes are so different from each other that a different bike every two years and 20 years down the road you'll have a great repertoire of experience.

At that point you might actually 'know' what you're doing on bikes.

So, really I consider myself a noob, still. I only have experience on two bikes for less than a total of 10,000 miles and less than 2 years of riding experience.

What kind of riding are you doing? Riding a ton of miles on the highway is vastly different than riding all backroads, etc.

If you're talking about taking it for a short spin and you have good throttle/clutch control and use your brain for more than holding your ears apart, you'll probably be fine.
