My favorite part is the beginning where it's like "BHP: 499 Top Speed: Enough"

I can't imagine......do you need that much more so you can pop wheelies or something? :dunno:
nah, you can do that with 10 hp. There's a rush that comes with laughing in the face of the 100mph mark without the bike even trying.

At the risk of wimping out, I never used to think that I could get enough power. But when I got to a ZX12R I realized that I could. Too much in fact to really have any fun on it. Sure, when the time was right you could crank it open for an eye-popping blast of acceleration, but those opportunites are rare and far between. The rest of the time you cruise around using 20% of what it is capable of and for me it's not a lot of fun. Different strokes for different folks, but I like to ride a machine that I can ride hard at something less than 170mph.

But then there's torque......I haven't hit my limit there quite yet

(except for on a track maybe...but certainly not for street use)

What an utterly silly question. Same question some people ask about guns, SUV's, larger homes, and any number of other things.

Answer: Need is irrelevant.

Honestly, what does anyone truly "need" with more HP than is sufficient to make your car, bike, etc go the speed limit? If we're going to discuss need, let's boil it down to the most basic level such as that.

People may "need" it for any number of reasons is the correct answer. Who are any of us to question what someone else wants/feels he/she needs?

I met a man who said he never thought he could have "too much motorcycle"....(he was a racer)....however, his is thinking of selling his current bike because of how powerful it is.
He definitely knows how to handle it....but he said it has no business being on the street....it should be on a track....
He recognized that he will use all that power.....

He figures maturity has something to do with it.
