There's a whole lot of mentally kicking myself over here. On Saturday the quintessential newbie outfit mistake bit me: overcooked a righthand corner.

Wife and I are fine, bike and sidecar are pretty mangled.

Our policy of all the gear all the time left us with only bruising for injuries.

We're safe and that's all that matters.

When next season rolls around I'll pick up another outfit and put a good 5,000 miles on it before letting the wife in the sidecar.

Well it sounds like she didn't freak out on you - which is really good. I'm glad you are ok. I'm also going to skip telling my wife about this one...

Oh, it really doesn't matter... She's not going to ride anyway.

That sucks Matt. Glad to hear that you are mostly O.K., but the loss of the Triumph really sucks. Is there any saving it?

The bruising the wife has is just above her bum, she's already nixed any photos of that.

Never ridden a bike with a sidecar but don't you have to be going pretty fast to flip one of those over? I mean really fast? Maybe they are not as stable as I thought they were.

I know if my wife was in the car when it flipped that would pretty much be the end of it for me. Props to your Wifey for giving it another shot.
