I wanted a Buell until they said that they were shutting down. Now my HARLEY/buell dealer will not be keeping spare parts for Buells form now on. He will send them where ever but he won't carry anything for the Buell. Screwing his customers but that doesn't seem to be a worry for him.
Conspiracy theory 112. I've heard from several directions that increased competion from Ducati and a growing presence of BMW sport bikes was part of the problem. However, as someone mentioned earlier, Bombadier is a good choice. They're agressive and not afraid to try something new. However, Harley does own so much of the technology of Buell motorcycles that anything done under Buell's name will have to have agreements from the highest levels of HD.
Now the biggest question about all this is what does HD repace Buell with?
