Street Luge has been going for quite a few years in California. Very cool. I want to try this some day (and I just thought of a cool place around here to try it... hmmmmm... it's a good climb on the bicycle so probably not bad on a skateboard/luge thing...)
They used to do it on public roads with all the risk but it is now an organized sport and more fun can be had with the anti-automobile-splat removed from the risk factor with a closed-course event.
Highside, I had a good time racing mini-bikes again last year at the mini nationals, with your buddy Rob, (who's getting married soon) and even oldskool Superbike champ Steve Crevier came out to play.
