Did you paint the seats with a bottle and a brush? If you did you might want to thin the paint just a tiny bit before you brush on the paint. If you can spray the parts with thin coats you will get better results. You can do a pretty good with the rattle can. Make sure the can is warm before you spray and always hold the can upside down and spray out the excess before you put the can away. You can just leave the can out in the sun for a bit to heat it up. If the weather is cold and or humid it's going to be harder to get a good coat with the can. Make sure you leave plenty of time to for the paint to dry between coats.

yea i used a bottle and brush. im really trying not to have to spray anything. my whole point of starting models is to give me something to do inside(because its insanely hot out during the summer).i also only work on it late at night if i have to keep running outside to spray something that will get out fast ahha.

i just did a speaker box, it came out pretty well i decided to paint the speakers rather than use the decals and the red/grey paint covered the black plastics up nicely with a thin coat. just that white paint is giving me problems.
