Dragon;
I wanted to take the course with her. But these classes fill up so quick that there was only one spot and that class is 90 miles from home. We are going to make a weekend getaway out of it. I am hoping they let me observe the parking lot part of it.
I did re-take the class in 2002 (then never got a bike! LOL)
Those Rebels are just too small for me. We need something I can get along with til she passes. She sat on the Vulcan the Nighthawk 250 and the Virago 250 and she liked the Vulcan. So I guess I will try to buy that for her. I am sorta glad, since I fit best on that compared with the others she lilked.
She also wants a tank bag. Where do i get a low end one of these? I dont think she will like it once she gets it so I dont want to put out a lot for one.
Thaks to all the responses. Keep em coming if you have moer. I value all the responses.

If she is totally new to bikes I would go with a Hyosung GV250. It is a nice looking cruiser and easy for a beginner to handle. My wife learned on one that she currently rides. She easily cruises at 65 mph. It may be a little cramped for you but for the short time you would be riding it I don’t think it would matter. Weight and height are very good for even small women which my wife is.

Have you looked up Kelly's Blue Book Retail Motorcycle values for this year and model? I don't know what your zip code is, but in my area, the retail value is $2,900. Your dealer quote in only $199 higher, which may be due to your particular area.NewButOld wrote:I have my eye on a 2006 Vulcan 500 for $3099 at a dealer. it has 4800 miles.
Seems like a good price and is in excellent condition. I seem to fit on it decently (it doesnt look like a unicycle under me !!LOL)
I thik it will serve me for 4 months til she can start riding. I have every intention of getting the Vstar 650 or C50 for my bike once she is up and running.
Does 3100 sound right for a 2006 Vulcan 500?
