turns out this is a fairly common occurrence for Connie gas tanks. Called a couple of places looking to the cost of repair or replacement and they all basically went " Oh dear, another Connie tank". Taking it up to a shop that specializes in repairing bike and small portable gas tanks to have them look at it. He figures if its the usual, it should cost around C$100 to fix, excluding repaint. Also said he has another Connie tank in the shop getting fixed for the exact same problem and in almost the exact same spot.storysunfolding wrote:Is that a joke? If the tank is truely rusting through you're going to spend more than that to get it fixed, and painted again. At least you would around here...ceemes wrote:Looked already, found two for 97 and they want over C$150 for them....ouch
Now I wonder if Sabre's tank would fit on Connie....
