Yeah that must've been quite exciting then as they were so close to actual muscle cars you could buy in the showroom back then. American cars ruled back then, no question.

I just don't know why anyone would get excited today about watching 3500 lbs race cars with 50 year old technology that are shaped like cars that no car enthusiast would ever want.

Not only that, the sport doesn't even draw from the best talent pool.

British touring car is the most exciting four wheel racing to watch. Period. I think it is even better then rally. Those guys are brootal.They are notorious for plenty of pushing, shoving, ramming and just dirty fighting to get to the front.
I'm not against oval track (nascar) but hours of it is very boring on tv. Though I hear it is very exciting to actually go to live.

I'm going to say Jimmie Johnson wins again. I don't even like nascar but why do I get the feeling in a couple years that this guy will be in a cheating scandal.
