i can't argue the points... nor do i care to. i know what i've experienced. and it seems others have experienced.
i found the study i was talking about and it appears my numbers were WAY off, but the concept was right.

turns out those who practiced improved by 24%, those that visualized improved by 23% and those that did nothing didn't improve.
storys, i understand what you're saying. you're saying that without practice you can't get better. and i agree. no one is going to be able to get on a bike once, then go sit on their couch for 5 years and at that point be able to go out on a track and smoke everyone there. but i think little improvements do happen. the question comes down to, can you practice in your mind? it's only one study, but i think this study shows that you can. people are still practicing even though they're not riding. it's not as good as practicing while riding, but it is still practice and i believe it still does produce results. but i have no problem arguing a theory with someone who actually teaches and being COMPLETELY wrong either.
