damn - whoever had it before you totaled the bike in 301 miles. Kinda makes me feel accomplished - like watching Jerry Springer.

The seller should be posting their phone number or emailing it out as requested. Any seller with a prodcut they aren't mis-representing should be willing to take calls. On top of that, they should offer for bidders to go and physically see the vehicle before bidding.

Bought a Jeep Wagoneer on eBay once. The seller didn't misrepresent it...technically... but we drove four hours to Detroit and it wasn't as nice as it was made out to be. We still bought it. I drove it for almost a year before the engine blew out a rod. Expensive lesson learned -- I should've walked away from it, even though it would have meant 8 hours of driving in a day for nothing.

Bought my last bike off of ebay. Only issue was the seller being a bit of an a-hole and trying to get me to wire him the money for the bike sight unseen (when I stated to him that I would pay him with a cashiers check when I picked up the bike), we resolved that issue and the bike served me well for about 1 1/2 seasons before I sold it

You belong to a huge motorcycle forum, ask one of the members to look at the bike for you. I have looked a few bikes purchased through fleabay for individuals on other forums.

I sold my bike on ebay and I can attest that both parties enjoyed the transaction. A friend of mine has purchased two bikes and two cars on ebay. He won't purchase anywhere else due to the great deals he got on his purchases. If you are nervous, just ask if anyone on the forum lives nearby and could check the bike out for you.
