Heh See why I recommended the FZ6 over the FZ1 for you? If you're not doing over 100 even on a B-King I'm sure you could be perfectly happy with a Ninja or GS500... haha

Yep. There are some relatively minor things I might have liked about the FZ1 over the FZ6, but if I learned anything going from Ninja 250 to B-King to FZ6, is that I enjoy riding a lot more when I'm small and nimble. The FZ over the R6 because of ergonomics and I want to tour. Whenever I finally get it back from the dealer it will be fun riding again.

Damn, I can't believe this I've lost hundreds of miles of riding this week getting the bike checked out by the dealer. :(

(!) Most of the guys on the B-King forum/site - said that aerodynamics was a problem over 150. (edited to add: not that you were on a B-King, but that even I could max out the bike, I could never catch 168)

I've gone 137 on the 1125R...damn thing felt straight as an arrow...no headshake or anything and still had another 1000 RPMs to rev limiter.

That's why they always say get your bike serviced before the beginning of the spring riding season. This has got to be the busiest time of year for service departments

You know, I just can't find a decent head smack smilie? Maybe I'm blind.

Just bad timing on changing bikes.

No suprise there. I had my 600 bandit to 130 before (top speed of that bike) and it still felt rock solid at that speed.

but in reference to the OP, Yes pretty much any harley will comfortably do 100-120km/h, though your arms might turn to jelly after an hour or two of that depending on what year harley you get (the balance shaft motor is smooth as silk, the rubber mounted are just a little vibey, the solid mount ones will turn your arms into jelly in about 30 mins of riding)

Can these bikes go at least 120 m/h? 80-120 is the normal highway speed here. Sportsters are the cheapest Harley I could find. I'd be disappointed if they do anything less than a 100 m/h. So do they?

and how fast does a fatboy or fatbob can go? I'm not looking for the highest speed, just enough so that I don't get bored. I know I won't be going over 150m/h, but I rather have a bike that's between 100-150, rather than a bike that can't even go 80.
I've had recent riding experience on a 2010 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob CVO (110 engine) and the 2010 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide (96 engine) and I rode it for hours on the mountain highways at 140km/h with a large group of riders with no issues at all. With passing I was up to 180 km/h for short bursts.

The only issue I found with the Fat Bob and the Dyna was I kept hitting the RPM limiter when passing, which basicly shuts off the engine acceleration completely. So you really need to think before you pass or you'll run out of RPM.
