im looking into these bikes here , and suggestions.

i really appreciate all the advice you guys have given me! sorry if i came off a little rude at first with a few of the first couple responses. yes we do have to have the safety course if in the military. im working on that now. kinda ran into a little problem tho. i got my permit almost a year ago and im about to pcs over to turkey for 15 months then europe for 2 years so all my riding will be overseas.. only problem is .. i only have one more month left before i leave and in order to do the safey course overseas you have to have your endorcement on ur License.. so im trying to find a way to do all that before i leave..kinda impossible when im still learning how to ride.. i highly doubt that i will be able to pass the motorcycle riding test just yet

In some states, passing the motorcycle safety course gives you your endorsement. So, look into that end of it in Ohio. Another bike might be a ninja 650R. Maybe a bit big but, definitely not as bad as the RR's you're looking at. Of course, living overseas will change the bike you're able to purchase.

Yeah, here in CO it's taken on course-owned bikes and passing the class gives you your endorsement free and clear. Go in, get your license, walk out.

First sport bike here was a SV650S (75 hp), an all around great begging bike.......I know some people may disagree but it has good handling and forgiving at that plus it has good torque and mid-range who doesn't like that?? Just be careful with a 6 (especially the newer ones 125+ hp), as long as you respect it and understand that it can kick your arse you'll be fine............that is, if we can't change your mind.

i got in touch with the ohio dmv and they're saying you can actually use the safety course certificate for the endorcment... now my only problem is trying to "walk-in" and get a seat.. considering they're booked for the nxt few months.. but thanks for all the advice everybody ill def keep it in mind when the time comes to purchasing the bike.. but for now ill just focus on getting this endorcement in less then a month

Instead of the full race ready 600cc crotch rockets that have top speeds of 160+mph, go with the 600 naked sport bikes instead such as the Yamaha FZ6, Suzuki SV650S, Kawasaki Ninja 500 or 650, no they won't go 160+ mph, they have a top speed around 140, but the engines are better tuned for normal street riding and offer a more comfortable upright riding postion, with lower insurance rates.

Not that I would recommend either to a beginner but.....

If given the choice between a SV650 and a CBR600RR, I would say that the CBR600RR is a far better choice for a beginner than a SV650.
