I've apparently got a "low fuel light" but I've only had it come on once, and that was at 10liters used. Out of 17, since then I've jused 12 liters in a go and not had it come on. I use my trip meter EVERY time.
The savage I owned first didn't even have a trip meter! I was forced to remember the odometer setting if I needed to know how much fuel I was going to use.
fuel reserve switch(petcock)
i like the trip meter, my bike has two and its digital just push and hold the button to reset it no big deal at all. usually do that while pumping gas with the other hand. also nice having two trip meters, nice to have one for fuel the other to see how far youve gone on an actual trip or between service or whatever ha.
with this bike though im not accurate with the miles per gallon, some times i have to idle and warm it up alot longer, some times im on the gas more or running higher rpms for whatever reason. its hard to judge the miles with alot of these variations. my old bike i had it done to with in a few miles id know i was about to go on reserve.
