Oddly enough the other thing that deteriorates tires is fresh air. Ozone to be exact. Newer tires have additives to resist this but my chemical engineer neighbor claims it along with UV is why tires get brittle when left outside.

I wouldn't worry about it. After all race tires are only good for so few heat cycles (1-10 max) that you'll most likely hit that before the outdoors has time to work its magic.

I'd read up on the dangers of using race take offs on the street. It's never a good idea.
