It isn't just one bike that can be invisible, there were 7 or us, clear bright sunny day, waiting to leave a big parking lot on the way up to Whistler, BC. It had a very wide entrance/exit, we all had our right turn signals on, and were on the right hand side of the exit, a car stops parrallel to us on the left, no signal on, there's a break in traffic, this lunatic, turns right, cutting off all 7 of us. We then proceeded to surround her car, and she had no idea, whatsoever, what the problem was!!! She did however look a little pale, and I suspect she now makes a point of staying well out of the way of people on bikes.

I'm really glad you didn't the potential criminal charges (12 people saying you swerved at them) would have been horrendous. Scaring them would have been pretty cool though.
Teenagers these days suck!
The lack of justice done by the system is very frustrating to me. For example, say some guy spits on me and I punch him out, I'm the one who's going to get penalized for it. It just seems like the laws are too much about going by the book and not by the principles.
Hey! I'm a teenager! But yeah most of us do suck.

TheReaper wrote:So, I rode the bike to work today, all 4 whopping miles of it. On the way home, which was only about 20 minutes ago, I decided to take the long way and utilize the freeway. I was a little stressed, the weather is nice and felt like chilling at 70mph for a bit. If I take the freeway home I'm only on it for about 3 miles or so. As I'm about 1 mile from my exit I check the mirrors and see 2 bikes behind me in the center lane. I'm in the far right lane. As I'm coming up on my exit they proceed to pass me doing about 80. Neither rider is wearing any gear. One guy was on a gixxer 1k doing a wheelie. The other guy, not sure what bike he was on, was off the left side of his bike dragging both his feet on the ground. They looked directly at me and proceeded to speed off.
I'm so steamed when I see "crumb" like that. I guess I don't really know what the point to the stunts were, but it was obvious they did it for my benefit. I think they were mocking me for wearing a helmet and jacket. My minimum requirement when I ride is helmet, jacket and gloves.
As if that incident weren't bad enough, it follows another stupid rider I saw on Sat. I was in my truck going to the folks lake for the day. Again, I'm on the freeway doing 70. The traffic is tight and there is a lot of shuffling to get through some of the slower people. This dude on a sport tourer comes flying up alongside me on the right and gets about 5 feet off the bumper of the car in front of him. I was pretty tight on the bumper of the car in front of me as we were weaving through some people. This guy proceeds to dive in front of me. Now he's about 3 feet behind the car I was just following. He passes the car on the right, gets back over and takes off.
I realize there are stupid people no matter where you go or what you do. But when I hear about the flak riders take because of the stupidity displayed above it really irks me. Why am I being judged because they don't show any common sense.

I mean seriously...why do you anti-squids get so worked up about other guys who obviously don't have a clue??
I'm as safe as the next guy, I wear a fullface helmet, gloves and at the minimum a denim jacket (most of the time leather) but when I see a guy in shorts and a t-shirt...I laugh...I mean it isn't me who's gonna be skinned alive
And as far as stunting goes on public roads...that is bogus but I don't get all worked up about it...whats the point of worrying about what everyone else is doing...just worry about yourself.
And I know some of ya will retort with a "well I am worrying about myself...he crashes and takes me down too...what then?" I say whatever...just jump on the squids back and go for a ride while he's being skinned alive...
Now there's a picture.....

I hear what you're saying, and I agree. Probably 99.9% of the time that's what I do, shake my head, shrug it off and keep on riding. For some reason that just really got to me when I saw it.
Went for a ride today and all was better.

Because him crashing in a public road as a result of his stupidity will put him in the path of another vehicle, potentially mine. And I may not be able to dodge both him and his bike. His recklessness (sp?) puts both his, and others lives in danger. It's the OTHERS part that bothers me.

It's the same way I feel about DUI drivers. Go ahead and roll the dice with your life, who gives a damn about that, but what bothers me is the potential to seriously hurt or ruin someone else's.

While out and about early this morning running errands in the cage on a busy arterial , here comes a guy about 40 years old on a nice new BMW splitting lanes . Now I have done my share of white line dancin' so that's not too big a deal in my mind . However this guy is wearing shorts , tennis shoes , no gloves and not even a leather vest . But he's cool cause he's got his full face helmet on .
What a phreaking dork !
Same thing on another busy road a little while later only this time it's a young kid splitting lanes on a sport bike , at least he had on boots and long pants along with his back pack and his full face , no kind of leathers or gloves .

Fair enough, but who do you think is gonna win between a squid on a bike and 1500 lbs+ of a vehicular hulk of metal???

Message IS:
Stupid people in cars and trucks kill people, stupid people on bikes kill themselves...

i was riding and some kid on a gixxer came around a turn and wheelied out of it while looking at me(he had no gear on). obviously he saw me and felt he had to wheelie for whatever reason.
another occassion someone saw me(in the car) and tried to show off doing a wheelie, he popped it up to sudden and almost lost it when he got scared and let off the gas and the front end smashed back on the ground.
yet another occassion someone in a group of kids pulled a wheelie didnt see the car coming from his side(he was looking at me in my car) and almost got creamed.
ive been passed many times by kids in my lane, if i see them coming up from behiind in my lane ill make like im about to swarve at them. they panic every time and slam the brakes or swarve hard. do the same with tailgaters let them get close then touch the brakes the falsh the lights they panic.

And if he's screwing around in front of me on MY bike?
Besides which, anytime someone crashes while hot rodding, especially at my age. My insurance rates go up, and the police look for me that much more. Besdies which it gives bikers everywhere a bad name. Because the average joe isn't smart enough to tell the difference between a harley and a honda.
