I believe you...and neither do I. I'm just patting the guy on the back for learning to ride on what I consider a noob un-friendly motorcycle. It actually doesn't weigh much more (if any) than the other bikes on its class, but where it wears that weight is the issue. The engine is tall and the bike is clad in chrome and it makes no apologies for being a chunk of all American iron!

You're right...sorry, Folks!

Carry on!

Nice looking bike! I always liked the sportster. We don't see many red ones out here. Looks awesome in that color. Enjoy your new bike! Keep up the parking lot/cone practice, and you'll be the boss before you know it.

Thanks guys.

I must have spent a good 20-30 hours in an empty parking lot over several days learning on the bike and have since moved on to the road.

I'll be taking the MSF course in september (it's booked until then unfortunately).

About the bike, it is an 883 but has been bored and has the 1200 kit....so it's a deciever.

Are the 883 badges still in place?

Now you're talking! It just gets better and better, doesn't it? Good job on the practice. I recommend a little session at the beginning of each ride, if you can wotk it in. At the end is okay, but usually less productive due to fatigue. Cones are a good investment, too. make a couple of 20 foot diameter circle next to each othe, and use them for figure 8's and tight circles in both directions. Then draw them in closer as you improve your skills. Take a look at http://www.ridelikeapro.com. Have fun!
