I have'nt been round much folks but i have just recieved the e-mail.
My site was bought down by a worm and we had to reset and upgrade from 20.1.9 to version 20.1.11..
all seems fine now. but if theres anything you need that you feel a donor site can offer please let know and how to do it.
Karma my friends the feckers may have got off on it this time, but karma always works.

Software Protection

Seems like someone could make some money by developing software that will protect forums from hackers.... or perhaps there already is software available...anyone know?

I feel that it should be down to the server host to protect its customers,
unfortunatley phpbb does suffer from some chinks in the armour and thats how the cnuts get in.
The fact that this site is regulary backed up and still the hackers got to saved data has flumoxed me.
The act was pointless but they are clever and get off on it.
How do you protect against that?

You are right.... it is hard to keep up with devious minds. I don't think that way and I guess I am very gullible to all of this. Everyone thinks that it won't happen to me...bad attitude to have.
This forum is already booming again... great forum!
