Passed the MSF course this weekend with a 100 on the written and a 95 on the riding skills.
I had 5 points deducted on the panic stop skill test since I went 1 ft over the recommended max stopping distance. Honestly I think my entry speed was higher than it probably needed to be for the test. And I waited a bit longer to begin to initiate the stop once I passed the line because I didn't want to get dinked for starting my braking before the line.. Oh well.. Everything else on the skills test was done perfectly.
Had a blast, was very tiring being on the range and on the bikes for 5 hours both days.
I learned a lot and since Harley Davidson Dealers use the larger 500cc Buells for their MSF classes that they do, the transition to the 883 won't be as huge as some of the other MSF classes that use smaller bikes..

I too am sorry for your loss.
New here and still trying to figure out how to post a question.
I too just passed the course, bought a honda rebel 250, and it is way toooooo small.
want a harley but don't think i am ready for one.
Just looked at a yamaha vstar 650. want to know from anyone, everyone, If you think this would be a good choice for me.

I finally took a couple of pictures in the driveway of the 883 Sportster Hugger this weekend.
And No, I didn't ride it this way in shorts/sneakers/no helmet.. lol
Very unique smaller windscreen that I have mixed feeling about, but I definitely like it better than having a giant one on the Sporty.
So far it fits me perfectly and feel right.
And I didn't know it was a Hugger until I got the title and looked up the VIN..
