the Widow had her inaugural run today put 70miles on her after topping off $4.00 I had some technical difficulty with the mini cam so the video is almost nonexistent will need to plow through it and cut something together.
Had the bike cruising at one point at 60 and had more to give. Did mostly back and service road, riding and some highway. My brother took it easy on his HD so I could keep up LOL
the bike rode awesome and handled very well. Need to adjust the chain tomorrow and check all the bits that need to be tightened down (Locktite)
most of the day was spent at 40-50 and the bike felt great. All reservations about the ride to Americade are gone.
We started off in town and just took the roads here and there and made our way through to some nice scenery, and ran into a couple of other riders we packed up for about 5 -7 miles and broke off in our intended directions. Stopped off at a Hooters for a Beer and wings, the girls loved the Widow. hit the road again and we jumped on state hwy 46 for 10 miles then took the back roads to our other brother's place. Hung out for 30 min and came home.
the inaugural run was good. Took it easy but pushed it to see what it could do. I liked it and want more!
couple of things i learned about the bike;
It has plenty of power for a 250cc.
I am more comfortable with the bike because I was involved in the build process.
Any misgivings taking the bike up to Americade are gone. (Will be staying off the through way and taking the Taconic up or 22)
I actually wore my halfy and goggles today to see how they felt, man my full face will be sitting unless it gets cold out. I get it now.
here are some pics
