I passed the class. I missed one on the written, and got an 89 on the road course. I messed up on the figure 8 u-turn box. that was the best $240 i ever spent. After I get a bike and ride for a few months, I plan to take the intermediate, and advanced courses. I have sat on the Honda shadow 750 spirit many times and it feels really good. I have also sat on the Suzuki Boulevard M50, that felt great too. I am 5-6 180, so I need a low seat.

Congratulations!! Welcome to the wonderful world of two wheels.
We were in the market for a bike for my husband recently (that I would also be able to ride occasionally, at 5'5" and 125#). We considered a Shadow Spirit but the ones available here either sold before we could get to them, or were priced too high. Other options included a Virago and a Vulcan 500. We decided on a VStar 650 that we're going to pick up tonight.
Can't wait to hear about your selection!

Thanks, Zee! I have also looked at the v-star 650 classic, and it seems like a cool bike. How are things in Spokane? I lived in Couer d' Alene/Post Falls for about 6yrs, and loved it. I plan to move back to God's country, when I get the chance.
