It says "Harley" on the tank. It's made by Harley. Therefore it IS a "procreating" Harley and a very real one at that.

Yup.

Made by Harley = Harley. Just because it doesn't have a 45 degree air cooled V-twin and a direct drive transmission doesn't mean it's not a Harley!

Maybe in your opinions. But in my opinion it's an abomination. A nice bike in it's own regard, but a Harley? No, not really.

So a Buell isn't a Harley? Well I guess not. Even though I bought it at a Harley dealership, received a full warranty, and got a year membership in H.O.G.

I usually don't play this game but the V-Rod is a very important bike in the Harley lineup. It is the future of the Motor company. And if you don't see that there's nothing I can do about it.

Sorry for the rant.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

So even though it was designed, built, tested, sold, warrantied, and serviced by Harley, it's not a Harley... Yep that makes perfect sense right there! :frusty:

I think H-D wants to move forward, experiment, and innovate just as much as any other company. The V-Rod is proof of that. Often it seems that it's the "core customers" that are more conservative than the company itself, and more unbending when it comes to what H-D stands for.

To be blunt, that is ignorant. You need to get familiar with the wide range of machines either made by, or sold by Harley-Davidson over the past century.

Some believe your sportster isn't a real Harley either. I wouldn't agree with them, but then again...... is there any real difference between their line of thinking and yours?

Yeah I've heard that rubbish too along with Sportster are girl's bike nonsense.

Are these people that insecure that they constantly have to put down other people's rides just to make themselves feel more significant? :ermm:
