Kind of a big bike to start off on.
My first street bike was 600cc but it wasn't new and after you drop the Ducati you'll be wishin you bought a beater.

hmm just my 2 cents here.
i would practice on a small bike!
like a 50,75,90 0r 100cc.
and get the feel of everything
and drop it or whatever no big deal!
also it would help to know a little before the course

thats one of my top 10 bikes good choice...
and yeah dont drop it...

my buddy has one...its got a slipper i believe...and that was stock...so just let her go but dont dump...you will end up on your rear and probaly crying from the mirror you broke you handlebar you bent...be very careful with that thing...even though its barely over 600cc that is a meast of a bike...they dont call it a monster for nothing...and ive been riding with my liscence for a little over 2 months and i still have trouble sometimes with the stop and go...so...just be patient my son...and...TAKE THE CLASS!!!!!!!!!! it fun to drop their bikes!

Wow great replies guys. I am not going to ride my bike until after I take my couse. It will be a tough time not to ride it but I can do that. I'd rather wait and learn to ride it then ride it an wish i had waited to learn. Thanks for the imput!
