Pennsylvania Route 30 between Chambersburg and Breezewood with steep mountains and OMG! drop offs with hairpin curves, and no semi trucks on this road cause they don't have the go-nads to run it!
Route 50 that crosses between Western MD and West Virgina between Keyser WV and Oakland MD, beautiful country, nice friendly people!

As much as I absolutely enjoyed the twisty turns and quick elevation changes of NW Arkansas, southern BC has some of the best two wheeled roads in North America... Choose between coastal highway to majestic mountains, we've got it all...

Live in central NJ, not a good place for riding. I like New England and Atlantic Provinces. My favorite place to ride is Maine not along the coast (Rt 1), much better are Rt 16 and 11 and places around the golden road.
Just came back from a bike trip with my daughter (17) from the Catskills, NY. Very nice places but the people are somehow strange.

i have driven from L.A to Portland along route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway). I love how it has the sea breeze and the hills and evergreens. Just got my bike and once I feel comfortable and confident I plan to ride on it

Welcome, neighbor. I live down in Burlington Co. but work outside of Princeton.
Northwest Jersey isn't bad for riding, but it takes a bit of travelling to get to the good parts.

Welcome as well. Agree, Northwest Jersey beyond I-80 is nice. I like especially RT 519, low traffic and brings almost right into high point state park.
If you in Burlington County, going south maybe an option as well. Liked the Wharton area, with all the cranberry fields.

There's another road to the west of 519, route 521, that doesn't seem too well known and is especially nice. It splits off 519 at Hope (just south of I-80) and runs out to Rt 206 northwest of Augusta (where the Chatterbox is).

It is nice, but it's my backyard, so to speak, so I'm very familiar with the area. Always amazed how lonely Rt 563 is down through Chatsworth - one of the few places I know in Jersey where you can ride 20 minutes without seeing another vehicle.

Next time I will try Rt 521 seems to be a good alternative.
I have done Rt 563 couple times; its true nice and very low traffic, doesn't feel like NJ anymore.
