Uh... you're in Illinois, what pond are you referring to? And "tosser" is, well, it's along the same lines as "fapping".

But you're in Illinois... ceemes is in British Columbia. That's in Canada - and there isn't any pond between IL and BC that I'm aware of.

My bad then. I aplogize...

Now the new thing I saw and wanted to share on scooters and the like. See the following Can AM Spider downsized but still cheap at http://www.scooterdepot.us/trike-gas-mo ... p-730.html

Thoughts on this 150cc Can AM spider look a like? It was less than clear on specifics of design.

Are not most things relative. It how muc we are used to paying and I know we are use to paying much less that those from other parts of the world by alot. But how much is too much for a .....

Car
Shoes
Hair Cut
load of sliced bread

And yes gasoline

It how much your willing to pay and not reduce your need/want for said item.

I am taking an economical geography course this semester and we had a discussion on whether the fact that gas is cheap in the US is good for the US economy. Obviously every country pays the same price for oil as it is traded on the oil market for a set price. The actual price to the consumer is dicated by the government with taxes and subsidies. Most of the class felt that gas being cheap in the US was good for its economy. The professor did not, and he went on to explain why. It was an eye opening lecture, the European government knows what they are doing in this respect.

Keep in mind as well that Europe had most of it's cities started up and laid out before the invention of the automobile. In the US the majority of the development of them happened after autos were already common, making it much harder to get by without one.

Interesting points guys.

I accept that iour government dictates the high fuel prices. However I disagree with the professor as the cost of fuel IS having a massive impact on the profit of any business that relies on haulage/distribution etc.

Personally (& majority of friends), I am having to budget every journey by car or bike. Long distance driving/riding has to be saved for.

Yes it's true most of our cities have public transport but these costs are also inflated. Also rural communities without public transport are being penalised.

In UK + Europe we tend to drive smaller vehicles than our North American cousins, so we are already economising.

Next you'll be telling me that as you have such big freeways & huge landscapes that you need all those petrol (gas) guzzling vehicles!

One more point........for our US friends to consider.....

IF gas was more expensive in USA, causing the population & business to try & use less, then maybe the US government would rethink it's foreign policy regarding operations/conflicts/wars in oil rich nations!

I would be interested in the professor's opinion on that point.
