almost 16000km last year. Time permitting, I'm going to push to get over 25000km this year.

Have over 320k miles now in just over 20 years of riding. That would be about 16k miles a year average.

16,000 x 1.6 = 25,600 km per year average.

Great to see this forum back up, it's a good one.

Close to 10,000 miles so that figures in around 16,000 Km's I think.

I rode over 18,500km(7 months) last year. I bought a new bike last year so I was excited to spend decent quality time on my ride. This year probably only 10,000km-14,000km...going to try a get a little more golf in.

For those wishing to convert miles to kilometers or vice-versa...also has speed, volume, etc. Neat site: http://www.sciencemadesimple.net/conversions.html

I've had my bike about two months now, and so far have ridden 4500 KM., in the midst of waning winter. Miles will pick up now with better weather, so wild guess? about 25,000 KM per year.

JJ wrote:If none of us are putting on less than 10,000 km per year why are there so many bikes in the trader over 10 yrs old with 5000 km on the odometer?

No one disconnects the odometer do they?

Well the Odometer could have gone around, I know my 77 gs 400 has gone around and around and around so now its back at about 42000km

Sorry, about not putting a convertion up and its too late to change it. Put a few have been listed. I myself usually do somewhere between 30 000to 40 000km a year, which isnt so hard to do, riding every day its just a matter of what bike it goes on, instead of the car. I do find my cars last a very long time this way.

Work To Ride, Ride To Work...! I'm luckier than most because I commute a 104km daily round trip to work. I have three routes to choose from and my car sits pretty much unused in the garage from March to November.

Well, I did some estimates, and, given that I'll be using my bike to commute, on top of doing my own rides/whatever, I'll be putting nearly 40,000km a year on it (assuming it holds up for me :D), so, I just went ahead and chose that one (the numbers actually came out to 38,700 or something)

Edit: My work commute is 193km
Edit 2: Oooh, and the days I don't work, my commute to college is 194km
