I've actually known peeps (friends) that would ride down the hiway with no hands . Call me old fashioned paranoid , but in my 47 years of riding I have never done this on a scoot for more than a split second . Years ago when I was a kid , I did it on my bicycle , but never would I even attempt this on my Intruder , I luvz it way too much to ever gamble with stupidity on my part .
I am fairly sure that Ron was saying this in jest .

I guess this would be a good thread topic, too. I did mean it in jest, considering the original topic. My meaning was really to keep the grip firm, but light (no input, unless you are making an input on purpose). For experienced riders, the ability to look elsewhere varies with the individual. For inexperienced, the road ahead is a great place to look, and highly recommended.
