Waste of time if you ask me. Just ride whatever you want and let everyone else do the same.
Leave it to a fellow stubblejumper to hit the nail squarely on the head.

'Nuff said.

Okay I don't get it. What's this Harley Vs. everyone else stuff?

It just means everyone and their dog seems to feel the need to compare a H-D to another bike. Whether it be"My H-D is better than your bike" or "My _____ is way better than a harley".

no matter what anyone says HD is The name people think when they think motorcycles. its an american icon, that being said its hard not to compare any other brand to them. HD seems to have set themselfs up as the standard in motorcycles so why not compare other bikes to them good or bad. and makes more alot of forum activity.

Hey Boomer, maybe your friend with his hardly dangerous has bought into the whole Harley lifestyle thing. My mates that have harleys go the whole hog, excuse the pun, the pee pot helmets, tassles, bare chest and leather vest, if that is his thing, wish him luck and let him enjoy himself. Lets be honest, the above image would look really bad if he was riding a GXS'r

Love these harley threads, they never end. It's always the same, it never changes. With that said, I'd love to get a harley. Screw the so-called reliability problems (notice I said so called, no flames please) and screw the metric guys that will look on and say "He only bought it because he's a wannabe". They are fantastic looking rides, and that sound (although very well imitated by others) is still the baddest, best sounding thing on the road.
I'm done now.

I dunno...I personally prefer the sound created by vehicles like your "Toy #1".

If I were on a trip, and could rent a Harley, I'd do it for the ride, and I'm sure It would be great. I love to ride...whatever it is. I can't afford a Harley, new or used. If the world only had Harleys, I wouldn't get to ride. Still, I like them all. I think they look and sound great, and I can only assume the owners are having a ball on them, just like I do on my bike (which sounds like a sewing machine until you get on it, then it's similar to a sport bike, according to Chris). It's all good.

It's pretty similar. When I'm at a light next to a harley, you can't hear the harley
If they were cheaper, there definitely would be one next to it in my garage. Oh well, priorities...
