Now there's the pot calling the kettle black! C'mon, BuzZz, you need a slipper clutch, and you know it.

That was me trying(and failing) to be P.C....... gotta at least try to seem semi-responsible for the masses.
Conv with my wife lastnight....
Cute One,"If we stay the night in Calgary, are we going to go for a ride with your friends from TMW?"
Ugly One, "I dunno, I'm not sure they want to ride with me."
Cute One, "Why not?"
Ugly one, "Well Hunny, I'm kind of a Squid, and most responsible/respectable folks try thier best to avoid Squids."
Cute One, "What's a Squid?"
20 minute explaination about how what I do ought not to be done alot of the time......
Cute One, "Oh, I see. So they're (censor-bot deleted word) ."
Ugly One, "No Dear, they're just a little more safety-oriented than I am. I think they may want to live to retirement."
Cute One, "Sounds pretty unexciting."
I love that Woman.

Man, BuzZz, thanks!
I feel like sort of an idiot after reading that because in terms of racing that would be both a logical and a desireable characteristc to have. My uncle owns a Ducati 998R and I sorta just looked at it and drooled. He gave me a brief rundown of its features, and the phrase "slipper clutch" piqued my interest, so I figured I would ask someone who knew. I know him and a few friends race for fun every few weeks and his wife has a degree of rivalry with the bike, as if she is competing with it for my uncles attention. Frankly I couldn't blame him for spending time with that thing, because that bike is alot nicer than she is. hehehe
Like I said BuzZz, thanks again.

As stated above, a slipper has no practical purpose on the street.

The Suzuki C90 has a slipper clutch, and it's meant to be ridden "lawfully" by design. I think we've all been in situations where we're racing around and drop one gear too many before engine braking, and a slipper would have prevented the subsequent rear tire lockup. Hell, I even manage to do it in my truck from time to time.
