Hi I've just recently sold my trustworthy Excellent bike XJ600N 2000 model never gave me a problem even with it's high mileage but I went for a dream bike which I've always wanted since passing my test in 1991. So 3 months ago I bought the baby bike of my dreams Yamaha FZR600 Vance @ Hines paintwork and back box I'm not sure about it being a Vance @ Hines through and through as I've looked up the bike and the bike never came out till 1992 but a good job done. Very low mileage under 20K miles I want to know about my tyres I have a 18" back wheel/tyre where I had a 140/60-ZR18 tyre I been told this had to be imported by an Ebay company tyre-tec deals motorcycle tyre specialist (Explained this to me) or I would'nt know as there are no tyres with a 140/60-ZR18 but there are tyres only HR being the max speed rating not that I need the ZR speed rating tyre but I find the tread and the overall grip and sturdyness life lasts me a month longer near 500 miles extra on my FZR600. (1991 3HE model). The more modern ones from the end of 1991 they converted the 18" back wheel to a 17" back wheel so I've got a 17" back wheel can anyone help with tyre sizes if I put a 17" back wheel on (Got one here ready) and the front tyre is 110/70-ZR17 which if in tune with the new 17" size back tyre the front would become a 120/70-ZR17 how can I work out the right tyre profile and would it run fine with a 17" back wheel as the old 18" back wheels the tyres have become very hard to find from Bridgestone, have come to an end, I got the last one and I was lucky to find another one on Ebay for sale just in case I can't get anymore this is why I would like to set my bike up to the 17" all round tyres as I can't get tyre deals and need to buy them seperately costing me twice what the tyres would normally cost I'm SORRY message so long I'll be shorter in the future new to motorbike forums as I'm miles away from motorbike garages apart from one a lifesaver here in mid-wales
