"Hate biking, it's a stupid idea!"
Yeah, well, that's not surprising if you're absolutely useless at it.

OMG this thread is awesome!!! Even though I didn't hang around enough to enjoy Marvin's nuances when he was still with us.

A young woman killed herself last night in Maple Ridge. It's being attributed to bullying. In hindsight, isn't that what we're doing in this thread?
Opinions???

I was bullied my entire life. Called fat, stupid, geek, etc every day at school throughout elementary and middle school. I had access to my own rifle and could have easily walked into the middle of the street if I truly wanted to kill myself. And to be honest I thought about it a few times, but I never did. I was an extremely introverted kid and would never stand up for myself.
In retrospect it made me a lot stronger and I'm almost glad it happened. It let me get past my own self and learn to laugh.
People will always kill themselves due to whatever reason they think is a good reason to do so. Sure we can attempt to stop bullying but the fact is that it's what people do. They establish groups based around a common interest and ostracize those that don't share that interest. It is what it is and nothing will ever change that. Life's rough, get a helmet.

Wrider, thanks for sharing your profound viewpoint.

I don't see this a bullying, it is meant to be light hearted banter around some of the silly and foolish things that we as bikers do and see.
Blond jokes
Texas jokes
Essex girls
Irish jokes
The ability to laugh at and with ourselves surely lifts us above the "bully" status. A certain entertainer your side makes more fun out of Muslims with his little doll than I think this thread ever could.
How much bullying do you think the short kid got, even now one of my nicks is Capt Grumpy AKA the dwarf
