I'm in northern NJ and it does snow during the winter. Which is actually a concern since I'm hoping(in the future) to be able to commute on a bike, but I get the feeling that it won't be possible some days/months.Mac wrote:The bike price is completely dependant upon where you live and if the “off-season” is indeed off. If you have snow etc. then you have an off-season you catch some breaks, some times. But generally speaking the manufacture is not the best place for deals on bikes.
I am relieved to see you are not looking for the latest turbine engine strapped to wheels for your starter bike!
You can always look at time and snags as a boon, you have more time to sit on more bikes and really get comfortable with one or two. It only benefits you.
Welcome to the forum I’m sure we’ll be bumping into each other.
You know, even though I read posts about sitting on a bike before buying it, I didn't even think about using this extra time to go and sit on some

I think I'm going to be looking for either a standard or cruiser type of bike since I want to use it, at some point in time, for commutes.(unfortunately most of it is on the highway) I read they're more comfortable for long trips.
