There is one about 10 mins from me. I never go there. Most of the stuff they sell is cheap junk. In fact just about everyone I know has boycotted them. The place is still packed though. Every time I drive by the parking lot is full. I guess there are alot of cheap people around here that don't care about the community.

i really Hate to shop there, but i cant afford not to right now. really i go to a regular grocery store and stuff is twice the price. i hate the idea of paying twice the price for the exact same thing. other stuff thats their brand sucks no question i wouldnt go near any of it. but they have the best prices on name brand stuff too you cant deny that.

It's not the prices I mind. It's the way they beat their suppliers and competitors into submission that I don't like. I'd rather go into a hardware store where I can talk to an employee that actually knows something anyway. Costs me a few extra bucks, but I'm happy to pay it. I get to consult with a pro who might actually know what I'm talking about and he gets to keep his job for a while longer.

I don't care as much about the groceries. My wife buys produce at the farmers market, meat at the butcher and the rest of the stuff from whoever is closest. I think people that have to drive a ways to get to the store tend to be price shoppers more than us city folk - we tend to go wherever is closest and has parking. At least I do. I don't much care about saving five bucks... or twenty bucks or whatever if it means I have to fight traffic for an extra half hour to do it. My time is worth something. Or I hope it is at least Luckily my office door is about 30 seconds out my front door so at least I don't have to drive to work.

we dont have butcher shops here that ive ever seen ha. but theres grocery stores on every corner its not like im driving far to any store. i can think of 4 grocery stores that are in the same distance as 2 walmarts. id rather save 20 bucks buying the same things for cheaper and use that 20bucks to fill my bikes gas tank twice than spend the extra 20$ just for the privlege to shop in a 'better for economy' store.

We've all got priorities. I haven't taken two consecutive weeks off in thirteen years - as a result, sometimes my time is worth more than my money. It all depends on the situation... would I spend an extra five minutes to save six or seven dollars? Sure, why not? Would I spend an extra hour? Probably not.
