That's just so you don't have to wrench your own.

I don't mind wrenching on mine... But if she can wrench on her own and save us both time?

Hi,
About the coolant flush, do you have any tips on how with my limited hand strength I can disconnect the fuel hose from my fuel tank. My manual says to remove the tank to get to the radiator cap on my Honda Shadow 750. I'd like to do this job myself if I can get the darn hose off and back on again properly. Thanks in advance.
Loonette wrote:I do my own oil & filter change. I have done a coolant flush, which was more tricky than I thought it would be (but worth it... I swapped out the old for fresh Engine Ice). I installed my risers with Dave's help (we had to lift the bike in order to drop the front suspension to remove the triple tree - or something like that). THAT was crazy!! I can't do a tire change, but wouldn't want to anyway. Pretty much anything that I can access and understand, I am willing to attempt.
Cheers,
Loonette

I like to use these when applicable for pesky snap clamps

Yeah that should work, then just start tugging. You'd be surprised how well fuel hoses tend to stay on.
That said, do any of you ladies have a female friend who is absolutely terrified of even touching a motorcycle? A new customer of mine is absolutely terrified of her husband's two F650GS bikes (yes, he has two of the same kind, different generations, no idea why). She's so scared that she literally won't even touch them, and whenever I'm working on them complains about him riding them and how dangerous they are and how she wishes he'd throw them away.
