I'm voting Uncool. My reasons:
  • - I liked them better when they had real clip-ons
    - It's just a warmed-over Bonne with a slightly higher compression ratio, which means.....
    - It weighs too much
    - The exhaust is strangled in stock form
If I was going to cafe a Hinckley twin, I'd probably start with an used Bonne (wait a sec, I have one of those....) and mod it out with goodies from New Bonneville or Bellacorse or one of the similar aftermarket stores.

I'm voting uncool.
It's literally just a Bonneville with adjustable suspension preload and an uncomfortable seating position.

I was getting ready to say "We done that one" but you know what? We haven't! So, let's make this our next Cool Wall bike then as per your suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Mike
Thanks for taking me up on the suggestion! I really love this bike and (obviously) voted awesome. Retro aggressive cafe....dig it. Like earlier posters mentioned, my wish list for upgrades would be ABS and tubeless.

I voted cool because I am scared of Ceemes

I like bikes that had a definite purpose when built and a market mapped out, this bike ticks both those boxes and falls in nicely with Triumphs bosses mind tricks.

That is why it is cool. People will buy these and they will be a round for years, because for those people it invoked everything they want in a bike. It won't get changed much as the market demands that it does not, They want a classic bike, but not the crap that goes along with a true classic. They want to look like ton up boys, but not spend hours doing their hair and then cleaning oil spills before getting the bike out of the garage. they want to go to the pub and have a pint and know the bike is not so dangerous it will kill them.

They want brekkie runs with like minded folk who are happy to run slow in a big group. They want nostalgia, and most will not care about CC's or high tech, as long as it starts first time and the service costs are not to bad.
