They should have the engine blacked out on one side and chromed on the other; it's like you're getting two bikes in one!

I doubt HD has any plans for a "next gen" VRSC. In the next few years we will probably see the VRSC electronic control module replaced with the body control module, similar to softails and sportsters, and maybe an improved suspension. Don't expect a frame up redesign. I don't think HD will ever put the VRSC engine in another frame, for the same reason Porsche will never put their truly high performance engines in the Boxster frame. They're afraid to make a machine that's better than everything else they sell.
I keep hoping for the same thing, that Harley-Davidson would use the V-Rod engine in another bike... imagine it in a sportster! Now, that's what I'm talking about!!
But I've almost given up hope that this would happen.

I voted: Cool.
I ironically saw one last night at Bike Night, it was matte black with the orange stipe and orange rim tape. Very sweet looking. But the seating position (for me as I'm tall) just ruins the entire thing. You are stretched out in tight angled V and that's most likely the worst riding position I've ever seen on a motorcycle (inc supersports). But the design and idea are right up there with Cool.
As discussed in the previous page, mid mounted controls are available and would definitely help out the ergos. But what a great design... now I'd just like to see H-D do more with the V-Rod line rather than sit on our laurels.

One of the great things about HD is the outstanding aftermarket support. Don't like the seating position? Install different handlebars.
