If you're on the 101 in California be VERY VERY careful while traveling through a town outside Salinas called Prunedale. There are TONS of accidents there, it's very dangerous if you're in a cage, even more so if you're on a bike. Ride safe.

Well if the worst road = the most dangerous, I would say that the one the russian biker Elena's has made through Chernobyl must be the one.

Especially on weekends when that big red barn of a flea market is happening. Nothing brings danger quicker than a bargain hunting myopic old woman in a cadillac about to turn left across every lane of 101 cuz she thought she saw a flash of red

Many roads in Compton after dark arent any safer than that Chernobyl road for a variety of reasons. Even radioactivity wouldnt be completely out of the question.

The AlCan highway in early January wouldnt be too safe on a bike.

Not that this isn't cool, or that I even know what is true or false, but check the facts for yourself - go to Google or search engine of your choice. Put in Elena, Chernobyl, and hoax. There are many people who seem to think this was a fantasy story made up of photos from of an authorized tour without a motorcycle. From what I hear motorcycle, nor non-escourted people can even get into this zone. Also her name is reported by many sites to not even be Elena.

Amazing pictures though and a great story if it can be validated. If it can't be validated, it is another great urban legend.

Though I love to encourage my favorite cagers to go that route!
Wow I know right where that is, I have family out there. Darn right it is suicide corner. It's like a 80 degree increasing to like a 130. Not good totally blind. Scarry.

Ortega highway from OC to Riverside. Too many people feeling "indestructable" on that road. My last trip on it, I saw a guy turn around to kiss his gal on the back of his bike just after coming out of a corner at about 30-35. I'm sure he wasn't too concerned about the 1000' drop off if he'd a gone across the highway. And that's NORMAL stuff on that road! :frusty:

worst roads EVER!

Ride on pretty much any highway or major road anywhere near Detroit...It will give you a new appreciation for the term 'dangerous'. Poorly maintained, complete with giant tire swallowing potholes, expansion cracks that have definitly 'expanded', and a lovely assortment of: retread 'speed bumps', roadkill, and the usual urban hellhole road hazards.
