I never saw this thread when it was first posted....

Can you find a friend to drive you to the bike?

If you are looking for a dipstick then the Vulcan is not going to work. It has the sight glass way down low.

Hi B2C,
I didn't think you saw it. I was waiting for your input when I first posted it based on Jstark47's comment about your Vulcan. I've decided to go with the Vstar 950 Tourer. If I can get what I want for my trade-in of my Silverado 650 [or reasonably close] then this will be a done deal. I'm in Waldorf Maryland and the dealer is in Chicora Pa, about a 5 hour drive. So if we work the price out then the logistics for getting my bike there and getting the new one won't be difficult. I can rent a motorcycle trailer from U-Haul for $14.95 and take my bike to them, pick up the 950 and come home. 8)

I had a chance to ride a friend's 950 V-Star...it was very nice to ride. Very smooth.

I just put 600 miles on my bike this week for a return trip to the interior. Even with the new increased speed limit on the Coquihalla Hwy...it handled well. I think it translates into about 75mph.

We'd love to see a picture when you get your new to you motorcycle.

I picked up my bike yesterday, registered it today, and I'm very, very, very, very satisfied.y  I'll post pictures soon, but the whole week has rain forecast so I'm not sure how fast you'll see them but they're coming.
Although I'm glad to have my new bike, it was kinda sad to leave my Silverado 650. For all of two minutes

I just noticed the warning that the file is too big. Can anyone help me use another format that I can post the pictures? They're in JPEG format now.

Sweet ride. Nothing like getting what you want. I spent the last 2 seasons working on getting a guy to sell me his 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak. He finally did this summer and I couldn't be more happy.
